Domestic Jewels | Chaise Longue
jacquard-woven, double-weave lurex, viscose, cotton, acryl, nickel-plated steel | 136 x 63 x 83 cm | 2008
A collection of everyday beauties like antique cups and plates, handwritten recipes, beautiful silverware and playful teapots were the inspiration for this luxurious textile used on a cubistic construction. A homage to everyday domestic objects from the past that still surround us, which were made with a lot of love, crafts and detail.
The style of this piece reminds of the 18th century Louis XVI furniture, but is very modern and cubistic at the same time.
