A throne. Not meant for emperors, kings or other rulers. This is a throne for those who make them. A tribute to artisanship. Kiki van Eijk's inspiration for her graphic pattern stems from simple everyday objects; old and new objects ranging from scissors to pin bobbins she found in the Lebesque workshop. A journey into the past and back. But above all, it is an utterance of Kiki?s admiration for the craftsmanship Lebesque stands for. Kiki designed a throne using simple techniques such as embroidery to produce the extremely exclusive upholstery.
