Wallcovering Statenzaal | 02
100% Trevira CS yarns | 2013
In 2012 Kiki was selected by the museum to design a wallcovering for their prestigious "Statenzaal".
The design is complementing the architectural character of this historical hall. The interplay of planes between the oak paneling and coffered ceiling, inspired her design, which she developed based on origami-like folds. Red dot lines are forming the silhouettes based on figures in the 15 coats of arms originally adorning this hall. The cobalt blue wallcovering is jacquard woven at the Dutch textile Museum with 100% Trevira CS yarns. During the re-opening of the museum it will be visible for the first time.
